Wintertusk and Grandmother Raven

It’s official, the new world is on the way. You can read the official announcement here.

Basically it’s a continuation of Grizzleheim. But this is going to give a lot of insight into Wizard101’s history of the Spiral. Previously one of the biggest Wizard101 mysteries, Grandmother Raven will be featured in this world.

If you’ve kept up with your Wizard101 history, you know that she is the sister of Bartleby, wove the Spiral after the Dragons, Giants, and Tritons broke the original world, and I believe she also gave Bartleby his eyes of the future and past. The eye of the past I think was stolen by Malistair, but it’s never seen.

Also in the news is the upcoming level 58 pets. Lets hope their some cool ones! A pet Scarecrow or Skeletal Dragon would be awesome!

I haven’t been doing much on Wizard101 lately, but I have been doing a lot on Runescape. Gotta love Zamorak Godsword!

Rs Character Slayer Gear

That’s my character in my favorite slayer setup.

But anyway, back to the subject of Wizard101. I’m going to try and get further in Celesta as Jeremy. Then, hopefully Jesse. Once they’re both done, is Gavin turn for some playing, as he is only at Krokatopia at the moment.

One thing I would like to start doing is asking you guys questions to get some other opinions as to Wizard101 updates and such. Just keep it polite.

What do you guys think the new level 58 pets will be? Do you think they’ll give cards and power pips like 48 ones do? And are you looking forward to seeing the new pets?

Project G Revealed!

As I’ve promised in some previous posts, I’m now going to reveal Project G. I know a lot of people have most likely been wanting to know what this is. Well, G stands for Gavin, which most of you should guess is the name for a character. Gavin is my new level 26 Myth character. Its been a goal on my list to make a Myth, and after doing Celestia on Luke, I didn’t want to go right back into it with Jeremy. And just like that, a new character. Although for next few days I’ll more likely be on Luke to level Farming. Anyway, heres some screenies:Gavin Unicorn WayGavin getting card w unicornGavin getting card w centaurGavin on KittyGavin Krok

As more news arises I’ll be sure to post it, hopefully soon I can get Gavin into MB.

New Celestia Housing and Test-Realm Updates

Well, I’m pretty late, but I finally made those housing tour videos(complete with music, isn’t a housing vid without music Winking smile)

But in the process of showing the vids I will also be going through the odds and ends of the test-realm’s update. I know no-one wants to read every single detail here when you can just go there, so I’ll give it to you in a nutshell.

First, the main update, is brand spankin’ new Celestia houses! One is available for crowns OR gold AND contains a duel circle! Here’s that video:

Pretty Epic House

Not a bad house, not bad at all. Love the space theme, still figuring out what that planet is, and how we can survive without space suits.

Also new is the Celestia Crafting house. With an Island theme, it is the perfect beech house.

Don’t forget your sunscreen!

A very nice house, great beech, awesome temple theme.

Final verdict on houses: I’m impressed, but also disappointed. We didn’t get an underwater theme house(but I can see the programing problem there, furniture in a floating world), but that is till Celestia’s signature trait. And the houses are a little on the small side. For the crafting house I was looking for some secret entrances or passage ways to make the house more epic, but alas, none to be found.

There’s a few gardening updates, nothing major, just bug fixes for the most part. Most notable is that ALL plants now like pixies, a drop from Smogger, a hidden boss in Meowiarty’s lair in Marleybone.

There’s a few odds and ends fixed in every world of the spiral, once again, mostly bug fixes with the exception of a new Grizzleheim quest. I heard the quest is just a simple side quest though, nothing to write home about.

The second most notable update though is new Membership benefits. If you have an active subscription bought using a credit card(sorry gift card Wizards) you will get the following benefits:

  1. Energy will refill much faster.
  2. Your backpack will grow to 120 slots.
  3. Your Crafting Timers will now reset twice as fast.
  4. Your friends list will expand to 120 people.

Some nice benefits. I personally like the 120 backpack slots most.

Crown shop has a few little updates in it, including rearranging the Henchmen by level and removing a few items from the crownshop. There is also boss treasure card packs, allowing you to summon bosses to fight with you ranging from good ol’ Lord Nightshade, to the Teacher himself, Malistair!(these cannot be used in PvpP!)

A few extra updates you can read by clicking the link up at the top of the post. One thing I noticed isn’t listed on the page is that Fierce Hound has MANY more colors now, filling up the whole pallet in the paint shop.

And if anyone’s read my Runescape adventure log(link in the right sidebar) I have been pretty busy lately on Runescape. Finally got Swan Song done, and I must say it is a lot of fun fighting along with the Wise Old Man(I wish I could hit 2345 damage), making this one of my favorite quests, just behind Monkey Madness.

And before I forget, I will reveal Project G in an epic way, although I haven’t worked on it in a while. Look for it in a post coming soon!

Free Trade and Test Realm

In this post I'll be covering the the test realm, which is open! And I will also be covering free trade in runescape.

First I'll be covering free trade in Runescape. From now on, February 1st, 2011 will be a date to remember! It is the date the most controversial Runescape update in history was reversed, trade limit and PvP worlds. Now that's all over, free trade is here!

In wizard101 news, the test realm is open again! Looks like their is plenty of updates to keep us happy for a bit. Unfortunately u don't have the time at the moment to go on or cover the highlights of the test realm. BUT after my snowboarding trip I will make it up by posting videos of the brand new houses, and maybe a thing or two more I find.

Next week I'll also post about my secret project, or as I'm calling it now, "Project G" and some of my Runescape progress.

Tempest Time

Well, it seems three is the magic number for me in Pet Hatching. My third time mixing Luke's Wraith and Jeremy's Stormzilla resulted in a Tempest instead of Wraith the previous two times. I couldn't tell you how happy I was when I saw this,

(Of course it was 21 hours or something like that when I first mixed it.)

I'm hoping it manifests a power-pip talent and another cool talent or two. I'm planning to raise it soon, once I get further with my current project, which I will tell everyone about in a future post.

Anyway, Tempest is currently my favorite pet. Next up: hopefully a Tempest Hound or one of the Hydra-Wraith mixes.
Heres a pic of Luke with his new friend

In other news, Jeremy is FINALLY done Grizzleheim! Although he was almost done it before, now he is completely done it, Ravens included. It a few henchmen, but everyone got through it alive! Death Raven really didn't like my Myth minion, and every other Raven apparently didn't like Jeremy so it was a surprise the life henchmen was able to keep me alive! But before the Ravens Jeremy hit a respectable amount on the Gurtok Barrier Demon,
That ones gonna hurt the morning... but needless to say the demon went down without too much trouble thanks to a Storm Minion(not henchmen for once lol)

And February 1st the EPIC return of Free Trade and PvP in the Wilderness, something 'Scapers have been waiting over 3 YEARS to comeback. (thank you JaGeX!) So, February 1st won't be a Wizard101 playing day, but more of a 'Scape like crazy, PvP, give stuff away in RS day. Can't wait for it!

Celestia, was nice knowing ya!

Wish I had posted earlier, but I been busy with a programing project lately and haven't had much spare time, but before I started it, I was able to take the time to finish off Celestia for Luke. Throughout the Trial Of Spheres, I learned the helpfulness of henchmen, something I never thought I would use. DEFINITELY my favorite boss yet is the final Trial of Spheres boss, but I forgot her name and a screenshot of her, BUT I did get screenshots of where you battle her! (and an awesome picture of the entrance to trial of spheres)

Theres always that sense of accomplishment after beating a world for the first time, and Celestia has given me the best one yet! An epic world of equal difficulty, it was worth the wait.

I was also able to set a new maze game personal record of...drumroll... 101 snacks! I just thought it was alot, for me at least it is.

Finally, after all this time, my Wraith Lord Shadow is an adult! So far, pet mixing hasn't gone my way, I've mixed Luke's Wraith and Jeremy's Stormzilla twice already and gotten the same result: another Wraith. Hoping for a Tempest, or Grimzilla at very least.

Now it's time to get a few of Luke's oddball things out of way, crafting quests, lizards, that kinda stuff, then its Jeremy and Jesse's turn! And hopefully we don't need to go on the same wild goose chase for Morganathe we did for Malistair!

I'm Back!

I hate to have been gone for so long, I hope everyone had a great holiday and a Happy New Year. I DO have a reasonable explanation for my absence, but it is long.

Ever since I got my new computer, I have been having Wizard101 problems where housing objects and npcs wouldn't load onto my computer, greatly disabling my playing. After MANY e-mails back and forth with and Wizard101 technical support (who if your nice to, they will be nice back, got e-mail replys back within 24 hours usually, rarely 48) I was given files to stop most of these problems. Worked like a charm! But after the plant update, I couldn't even load the update, receiving a message telling me about error downloading files. After that I just gave up. I know, your thinking, "Ok, ok we get it, very long excuse, just get to the point!"

Ok, no more excuses, but today I decided to try again, just for the heck of it, and it worked! Veeeeerrrrrryyyyyy happy to be back, try out the new farming skill, (which i have some plants growing at the moment, seems like promising update) and adding some Celestia furniture to my ever expanding collection. Most importantly, I'm hoping to catch up with some old friends, one way or another!
