It Was A Good Run.

As you guys can tell by reading the date on the post before this, I haven't posted much. Which is a reason it makes me sad to make this announcement after having been off so long. Lately I've undertaken a project that has kept me busy with a month straight of work. Unfortunately, all my time has been devoted to this and I feel I cannot adequately support the blog the way I'd like. So it is at this 80th post, on July 20th, 2011 that I officially will not be posting on the blog from here on out. I will still occasionally be on Wizard101 and other games, and try to pop up here and there commenting on other blogs and such. There is a chance I could come back, though it seems unlikely. I hope you guys can understand.

P.S.- This is a shout-out to an old friend, who taught me its the little things that count. If you she reads this, send me an email through the blog email, maybe you can teach me a thing or two about WoW ;)

LOTS of Work...

I don't have a whole lot to blog about this post, as most school kids will know that the school years finishing up. My school has us doing a very large and very important project, so I'm devoting quite a bit of time to it.

I haven't had too much Wizard101 play time, but I've done a bit of Runescape and I did get level 4 gardener in W101. Stinkweed isn't great exp, buts it's easy to grow.

Picture 2011-05-31 10-18-46I know its pretty easy to see, but I added tabs to the top of the page. One of these is obviously chat. Although I did add it a while ago, I stay on the box a lot, and of course I could be away from my computer, so if I don't answer don't be insulted. I'll be more than happy to mingle with anybody and see other people talk with each other. Just follow the rules and it can be great!

I saw this link: https://www.wizard101.com/game/dragon-hoard-game-card-pack

which has this picture:

That my friends, is the newest mount. Looks like the coolest yet! It comes in a new item pack in the crowns shop for 399 crowns. Along with this, comes new clothes, new TWO-HANDED sword, brand new dragon pets, and last but not least.... MYSTERY PRIZES!(I've found them to be stuff like dragonfruit and dragon themed furniture.

I spent what crowns I had left on these packs. I was able to get the clothing set, although no skeletal dragon mount or 2h sword.  I took some screenies of the LEVEL 60 VARIANT, so there is more than likely types of the set for lower levels.

Looks a little funny because I haven't colored it. It's actually not half bad looking. Not to mention, it has considerable stats to boot. I 'm going to try and scout out the stats of the sword on either the Wizard101 Wikia or Wizard101 Central.(maybe even google if it comes to it :P)

Some pretty cool stuff right? Kingsisle is really bringing out all the stops these days. What do you guys think the next mount will be?

Coming of the Scarecrow!

I've finally got my scarecrow pet! It took some running, killing a decently tough boss, and 21 hours of waiting, but in the end its worth it! I got a awesome looking pet with a pretty good card.

Awesome pet. I'm glad to have finally gotten it. Can't wait to get Kraken on Jeremy and Judgment on Jesse. I like how Kingsisle decided to give each pet a unique card from what is obtainable in a Wizards deck. Now that we have damage enhancers, the cards from the level 48 pets just weren't cutting it anymore.Scarecrow Pet Stats

The only thing I wish about this scarecrow is that it either had an extra affect, or it only used 7 pips. With a gargantuan, I could get a regular scarecrow to do more damage with 7 pips.

Now it's time to finish up some sidequests, and start on Nordrilund to finish up Wintertusk. Although that may take a little while as I'm getting back into gardening and pimping out my house.

Have you guys gotten your new Wintertusk pets? What do you think of them? Anything you wish was changed about them? Be sure to leave a comment.

Seeing the Sights: Wintertusk

Recently I got my membership back, and have been Wintertusk mad since. I just finished the quest for my scarecrow pet last night and am waiting for it to hatch. (won’t hatch till 7:30pm) At the moment, I’m working on getting the new spells. So far I only have Dark Pact:

Dark Pact Card

Its not great, but its basically a balance blade, so it could help with secondary schools. I just wish it didn’t take blades currently on me. I haven’t gotten my next one yet, so I’ll be posting about that when it comes.

The Grandmother Raven is everything I hoped for. She’s epic and introduced in an amazing way. When I saw her true form being introduced, it made me glad Wizard101 developers are finally using cutscenes.

Henchmen have been a huge part of Wintertusk for me in the early boss battles. But now I’m getting back in the grove and I’m having a much better time killing ‘em. One of new favorite bosses is the Yeti guy, Aurekk The Mighty. I just like that he’s a yeti. My henchmen and I still put the beating on him.

So far Wintertusk is pretty fun. I give you kudos Kingsisle, another fun world. The only complaint I have, is I wish it was its own individual world, instead of an extension of Grizzleheim. It’s annoying hitting home and having to walk back to Wintertusk.

So guys, what’s your favorite(or least favorite) thing about Wintertusk?

Happy Mothers Day!

Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms out there! I just want to say thanks for putting up with all of us! Without Moms, the world would be a much scarier place!

But anyway, to the subject of Wizard101, I don’t have much to say unfortunately. I’ve been on free to play a bit, but not much to do. I will definitely be getting membership back soon and blogging much more. Most likely, I’ll be refurnishing my castle tomorrow night out of boredom XD.

Runescapes been a bit more interesting, Bought a bunch of cool stuff, tried Toktz-ket-Jad but didn’t quite finish. Jad was able to beat me unfortunately.

As for this posts question, what did you guys do special for your Moms? Or a question for Moms, what did your family do special for you?

The Mystery Artist

It’s been a while since my last post! The main reason being, I haven’t played Wizard101 very much at all lately. When my membership ran out, instead of going right and getting a new one, I decided to program for a bit, and now I’ve been programing my server for most of this time. A little Runescape was in there too.

Now I literally just read this as I was typing this post, the test realm is open!(man I need my membership!) This includes Wintertusk, new pets, and new spells! And for all you deaths out there, cards that steal health such as wraith and scarecrow can now have damage enchantments added! That’s something I am personally happy about. There is just too much to cover in one post, so click HERE to see all the new updates being added.

As for the Mystery Artist, I’m pretty stumped. I was thinking Eric Bloom(lead singer of the band Blue Oyster Cult) who does a lot of work with KI. I have ruled out him as a possible artist. Right now I’m pretty stumped. Who do you think the new artist is? Be sure to comment with your thoughts of the Wizard101 Composer.

I’ll try to get a post or two in this weekend also, even if it’s something random.

“Something Special”

If you looked on your Wizard101 launcher in the top-right corner, you’ve probably noticed the countdown. No ones 100% certain yet about what it is. Unfortunately, it is NOT for the new world Wintertusk. You can read proof of this here. That’s the comments on The Friendly Necromancer’s Blog. The proof is from staff at Kingsisle, under the name of Lydia Greyrose.

Chances are you saw the countdown at the top of the blog under the logo. That’s the same countdown as on the launcher.

I’m not 100% sure what the new update could be. If you have any ideas be sure to post ‘em in the comments. I’ll be sure to comment back forth with commenters.
